Digital retouching
In Image 1, you will notice that the lighting has been adjusted to remove the harsh shadows, oily skin has been lifted and the distorted images in the veil have been covered to give the photograph a look of perfection. You can see how altering an unwanted item or "look" can vastly improve an image (Image 2).
